HobbiLaunch Review: HobbiLaunch Scam Alert!

Yes, HobbiLaunch.com is a scam, there is no doubt on that. Now, maybe you are thinking why is HobbiLaunch.com a scam, what makes Hobbi Launch a scam, what is HobbiLaunch.com in real and so on, right? Well, you don't have to search any other HobbiLaunch.com reviews to find out the answers to these queries because here, within our Hobbi Launch review, we are going to provide the detailed answers to these queries, the complete truth about HobbiLaunch. So, let's begin with our HobbiLaunch.com review.

What is Hobbi Launch? Why is HobbiLaunch a scam?

HobbiLaunch is a fake online store which is claiming to sell the items like blankets but not delivering those items after people purchased from this site. It is stealing the money of people by not delivering their purchased items which obviously makes it a scam. However, there are lots of other factors which make Hobbi Launch a scam about which you can find the details as below.

Hobbi Launch website link:- HobbiLaunch.com (Do not purchase items from this site, it's a scam)

HobbiLaunch.com is a fraudulent website

Aforementioned, we already made you clear that HobbiLaunch is a fraud website because it is not delivering the purchased items to its clients. You can find out the HobbiLaunch complaints all over the internet for not delivering the purchased items to its clients. Even BBB has already confirmed that other scam sites such as Gigiblanket, WeirdoStuff, Cottonzily, Goodszily, and Farmzily are linked with Hobbi Launch. Since all of these sites are already proved to be a scam, so there is no doubt that HobbiLaunch is also a scam which may be operating by the same scammer.

Actually, we have already reviewed lots of scam online stores, so we can identify either any online stores are scams or not just by looking at them. Some of the scam online stores that we have already reviewed are UbootDeal, BoseEShops, FGVips, Rbeall, Wowm, MusicEnjoyStore, ShopByHot, Eccoemall, OutdoorsWell, TheTrendyDealStore, FineFurnitureu and so on.

Before you purchase anything from any online store, you also should check the contact details of that company. Legit online store sites always provide the detailed contact information including the address of the company and their phone number. But the scam online stores like HobbiLaunch never provide any contact details. HobbiLaunch even has concealed its owner's name and company's address on its WHOIS details.

Another way you can find out either Hobbi Launch is a scam or not is by checking the trust seal logos which it has provided on its website. The trust seal logos of Norton Secured and Google Trusted Score which is provided on the check out pages of HobbiLaunch are not clickable. The real trust seal logos must be clickable so that anyone can click those logos which will direct to the official website of respective trust seal providers in order to verify those trust seals. So, this proves HobbiLaunch is providing the fake trust seal logos. Now, this is a solid proof which proves HobbiLaunch is a scam because none of the legit companies will provide fake trust seal logos on their website.

If you have purchased anything from HobbiLaunch using PayPal, just open a dispute through the PayPal to get a refund. If you have purchased any items from HobbiLaunch using your credit card, then immediately contact your bank or credit card company and ask them to help you for a refund. If they are unable to refund your money, at least tell them to help you to secure your credit card because these kinds of scam online stores also can charge your credit card randomly without your consent to steal your money.

Now, it is clear that HobbiLaunch.com is a scam, so we have listed it in our Bad and Scams category.

I purchased what I thought was going to be 2 blankets and a t-shirt... After fighting with them for 2 months I decided to do some research and then came across this article about it being a scam. I am pissed.

I also purchased a blanket through Hobbilaunch and it was a scam. I have emailed them numerous time and only have gotten one reply back telling me their website was down and my blanket was shipped 3 weeks ago. That was last month.

I have been trying to get ahold of your company. I ordered two quilts from you in September to be Christmas gifts and haven’t received them. You have already taken the money from my credit card. I would like an explanation before I take to social media. Thank you Triva Skinner #14067

I purchased a "blanket". They took my money immediately but never sent the blanket. Only AFTER I filed a complaint with Paypal did they respond. I had written several times prior to that and they never responded. The "blanket" arrived today. It's more like a light weight tapestry of crappy fabric and doesn't look like the picture. It's not keeping anyone or anything warm, lol. A Joke of a "Blanket" Absolutely NOT worth the $65 I paid!! WOOF!! I would have paid maybe $15 for this piece of crap.

Thanks, everyone for using our forum to report about HobbiLaunch and supporting our review on it. However, those who have not received their items from HobbiLaunch, we suggest them to immidiately contact their bank or credit card company and ask them to help you for a refund as well as to secure your credit card. Those who have purchased from PayPal, we suggest them to open a dispute through PayPal to get a refund.

Lots of people haven't got any items from Hobbi Launch and as Michelle has mentioned in the comment above, if they ever send you an item, then they will send you a very low and cheap quality item which will be completely different than what they have advertised on their website.

So bummed. I wish I had seen this before. I had searched the internet when I ordered, but didn't find anything positive or negative. Guess I should have known. Now, to try to get my money from Paypal. Ugh! The website doesn't even have anything on it now and i can no longer "track' my order! These scammers are such a pain! Why can't they just do something positive with their lives and leave people alone!?! Jerks!! End of rant. Good luck to everyone else who got taken!

I ordered mine in September. After a month and a half of wait, after emailing and receiving the same canned response I opened a dispute with paypal. That day I receive an update on their site that it was shipped. A few days later I check back on tracking to discover their webpage has a totally different look and when I try to track my package it doesn't work. Utter scam do not buy!

Ordered in Sept. Never got blanket. Canned response. Contacted CC Co and they opened a case and gave me a provisional credit while they research and will send me a letter when done.
Nothing good will come to these people who scam others. Karma will get them for sure.

I purchased a blanket, after a month they sent me a tracking number, could never get any information on shipment. Now after 2 months, I can not reach the site or get any response. I work hard for my money and for people like this to do this is a shame. The persons responsible for this should be tracked down and charged and held accountable for their wrong doings.

I, too, ordered two quilts & a t-shirt back in Sept. I received a tracking number, which never worked & have not been able to find anything until now. How these twatwaffles can sleep at night after stealing hard-earned money from so many people is unbelievable!! Guess I'll be contacting my credit card company too!

I ordered a quilt on October 14. Then two weeks of "in production" and on October 31 it was supposedly "ready to be picked up by the carrier." Nothing since then and now the site is down. I guess I will try to dispute the charge.

Now I will call my credit card co and cancel the whole thing.Terrible company poor communication . Be warned check the co before you order. these companies pop up around the holidays to scam people.

    Sharon Crowder (Saturday, 24 November 2018 19:11)

I ordered 1 quilt September 23, and one quilt on September 25. After sending hobbilaunch.com an email requesting their phone number, I never received a response. I became suspicious, so I decided to check for any complaints online. A website called scamadvisor.com warned me about them being scammers, so I immediately contacted my bank. After investigating the matter, they were fairly prompt in issuing me two credits of $69.00 each. In the meantime I attempted to track the packages and was told that there was a delay in shipment for one of them. The one coming from China required downloading software to track the shipping, and my antivirus warned against it. I kept receiving emails that both orders were "in production," but subsequently their website was unavailable. I finally received the second quilt which I had ordered (first) on November 11. The first quilt I ordered came from China on November 23. Both were not representative of what I ordered and were very cheap quality, printed blankets that have fake quilt blocks. The whole quilt is one piece with the designs printed thereon! The reverse side is a solid, bland gray color. One was shipped from the U.S.A. east coast, and one from China. Very frustrating experience, and I'm glad I trusted my intuition!

I ordered a quilt in September. After sending several inquiries, they sent me a bogus DHL tracking #. I reported them to DHL and informed them about this scam company involving their company in this scam. DHL opened an investigation on Hobbilaunch. I explained that this scam would hurt their reputation. I have recently received a tracking # and an in depth itinerary for my package. We'll see if I get it in the next few days.

    Sarah (Tuesday, 27 November 2018 20:40)

My story is the same as everyone else's. I ordered a blanket in early October, and after 3 weeks, I emailed to check on the status. I got a response, but it was clear that no one had actually read my email. It was like a standard template response. But shortly after, I got a notification that my order had shipped with a DHL tracking number. But the tracking page said my order hadn't even arrived at DHL. After another 3 weeks, I emailed again. I said I regretted my purchase, I wanted a refund, and that if I didn't receive the blanket by November 30th, I was going to dispute the charge. I didn't receive a reply, but magically, my order showed up at DHL within the next few days, and after another week, I received the blanket (November 27th, just shy of the deadline I gave). It is poor quality, as others have said. The moral of the story is: if you email them and threaten to dispute the charge, you'll get your blanket! But, you might want to just skip the email and file the dispute, because the blanket isn't worth what you paid anyway.

Purchased 2 chicken quilts from them. Neither one is right. Don't even have a chicken on them. They do not have a working phone number- it says its not working. The email on customer service DOES NOT WORK either. Good luck trying to get the right order.

Thanks everyone for providing the detailed experience that you had with HobbiLaunch. It will help visitors here to find out how HobbiLaunch is scamming people.

Thanks for making it clear that they will send you very cheap quality items if you threaten them to open a dispute. So, that means it's better we open a dispute than sending them an email by threatening them to send the items as those items are of very cheap quality than what you have paid for.

So, we suggest everyone open a dispute in Paypal if you have paid through PayPal. If you have used your credit card, then immediately contact your bank or credit card company and cancel your credit card to secure your money.

And we are thankful to "Judith Huff" for reporting us about other similar kinds of scams.

    Shannon (Thursday, 29 November 2018 15:57)

I ordered 4 quilts in Sept from the hobbilaunch site. After serveral attempts to contact, I did get some response, tracking numbers, an apology, and even an excuse “the item was delayed at customs.” Customs? Originally, there was an address in CA? Why would it go through customs? I have since received 2 of the 4 “quilts.” I like them. They are just as pictured, but not nearly the quality I would expect for $60 each! I would have paid half that and been happy. I am still waiting to get the other two blankets. I have received tracking numbers and am hoping to receive my orders. For as flimsy as they are, it seems wasteful to me that they have all been shipped in separate packages. I have learned a valuable lesson. DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM AN UNKNOWN COMPANY without checking them out first. If I recall, the website was also very unfriendly to navigate and extremely flawed. Still, I persisted because I liked the concept of those amazing and fun pictures made into quilts. From now on, I’ll just use reputable company that print pictures and photos on blankets and such.

Same story as everyone else. I ordered a quilt at the beginning of October for a Christmas gift. I am living in the UK so I was expecting it to take a few weeks to arrive, but after waiting nearly 2 months I tried to contact them only to find the web page is no longer available. I sent an email but got no response. I paid for the quilt with PayPal so I have now opened a dispute with them and I'm hoping to get my money back. Feel really ripped off and disappointed, normally I am very careful when buying online. It will pay me to be more vigilant in future!

Emmacotton.met is the name of the one that scammed me. I made a trip to the bank to cancel my card and get a new one. I have to file my dispute separately with PayPal so they can investigate to get me my $99.00 back. I need to contact everybody on my autowithrawls list to give them my new card number when it comes in and I took out cash to have money while I wait for my card. Merry Christmas!

I purchased a blanket from them. It took 3 months to get it and it's not even almost the one I ordered. I ordered a butterfly blanket and they sent one with Disney characters on it. Now I've tried calling the number on the website and it's not a working number. I've emailed 4 times. No response! I'm so pissed!! What do I do to get my money back?

Looks like everyone is finding out they were scamming in November 2018. I ordered 2 blankets the beginning of October and I did not see this complaint! I wish it was out then! Trying to get money back from my credit card due to bring fraudulent!

  • #42

    Sue (Sunday, 02 December 2018 13:12)

I actually did get the blanket I ordered from Hobbilaunch. It took almost 2 months and it's a quality blanket that could have used more (or any) batting inside. It's a good light blanket but not worth the money I paid.

  • #43

    LIz (Monday, 03 December 2018 07:54)

Ordered a Mermaid Quilt in Sept. Have been trying to get the status of the order every few weeks. One time when I attempted-the web site said there was no such order number. I sent another email and got a response that said the website had experience some problems and I should be able to get updates. Now the updates are DHL and Postal numbers that don't exist. The only clue was the "package" seemed to be bouncing around to different places not even close to where I live. I contacted my bank , filed a dispute and canceled that card. I have learned a valuable lesson - only order from reliable sources and certainly check before you buy since if it sounds too good to be true its probably a scam.

    Sherry (Monday, 03 December 2018 15:06)

I was also duped from this company. My husband is a recently retired firefighter and tagged me in their facebook post stating he wanted the fire life quilt. I ordered it and after 2 months of nagging them, it was finally delivered. The quality was horrible, almost as if the quilt was at one time wet and the colors bled. I would never give this as a gift.
I contacted the company, no response. I finally filed a complaint with Paypal and they denied it. I decided to call paypal and after discussing this with them stating that many people had filed complaints against this scamming company they issued a full refund. It pays to be persistent.

    LYNDA LEACH (Thursday, 06 December 2018 14:56)

An update on my previous post. After waiting two months and no sign of my blanket I opened a dispute with PayPal and they refunded me the money. Today the quilt arrived in the post! To my surprise the quilt is of decent quality. It's not as padded as I would have expected and it is lightweight. I don't think it is worth the amount I paid but it is usable. My problem now is either returning it to the address in China on the address label or keeping it and refunding them the money that PayPal had refunded me! I have sent an email to HobbiLaunch (or BG Holding as their email address says) to ask their advice. Remains to be seen if they reply to it as it was the same email address I used to ask where my quilt was, and they didn't respond to that email

I purchased 2 queen size Antique Dragonfly Blankets in Sept.....
And Just yesterday received 2 Double size Butterfly Blankets... Not at all what I ordered and I have emailed them many times since Sept because of the delivery delays did not believe for one min that I would get my merchandise. Reached out to PayPal to get a refund and they said they were delivered so PayPal closed the complaint without contacting me... Now You can no longer email CS@ hobbilaunch... So I am stuck with Butterflies. That are damm ugly

After 3 months and many inquiries both with PayPal and HobbiLaunch, we received two blankets but not the ones we had ordered. Pay pal will refund, but you need to ship the items back at your own expense. They are in Vietnam, $60.00 for shipping!!

  • #53

    Jennifer (Thursday, 13 December 2018 08:04)

After 2 months I received my king size "blanket" of dragonflies. I was shocked to see how small the package was and when I opened it up the blanket was nothing like the picture on the website. It was thin, barely a king size and ugly as hell. I tried to call the number on the website and surprise... it's no longer in service. The website is still up though and I sent them a message through their contact us page. I asked for a refund, but I'm doubtful that will happen after reading the preceding messages. I'm not paying for shipping it back when I paid $60.00 for a blanket I could have made!

Thanks everyone for sharing your experience with HobbiLaunch within our forum here. It will help lots of visitors here to know about this company.

    Attn: LYNDA LEACH,
You no need to refund them because you can see they have already scammed lots of people. Even they haven't sent you the same quality items which you have purchased. Actually, lots of people are not getting anything from HobbiLaunch and those who have threatened them or opened a dispute through PayPal, they have received the items but the very poor quality ones. So, you no need to care about these scammers. Just keep those quilts. You are the lucky one who at least gets something.

And those who have purchased from Hobbi Launch, we suggest them open a dispute through PayPal to get the refund. If you have purchased using the credit card, then we suggest you immediately contact your bank or credit card company to secure your credit card.
